I would've guessed Koufax
And he only faced Gibson 108 times; he faced Drysdale 243 times.
Real trivia: he faced Rich Nye 10 times in his career and struck out 5 times. And Nye was a lefty. And I bet Nye knows this and talks about it to anyone who will listen.
Jamie Moyer?
Dave
Dave Kingman.
@MLBdays .... Can you tell me the same for Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds?
For Aaron it was Drysdale, and by a big margin over Gibson (47 to 32), although when he wasn't striking out he hit Drysdale pretty hard (17 HR vs. 8 off Gibson).
And I don't look up Barry Bonds stats, only baseball players.

Were Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson baseball players?
IT CAN'T BE A TRUE PLAYOFF UNLESS THE BIG TEN CHAMPIONS ARE INCLUDED
I watched most of Koufax and Drysdale's games, living in LA.
Drysdale threw "way inside" many times, hit a fair share of batters.
I don't recall a batter ever charging the mound to get to Big Don.
For the love of God, why?
