@ScoobyDoo2 ....My favorite Barry Bonds facts:
Bonds was 0-3 vs. 20 year old Rick Ankiel.......with 3 k's...... 1st AB he took the count full b4 striking out swinging. The last two AB's he struck out swinging on 3 straight and then looking at 3 straight....& never faced Rick again.

    I would've guessed Koufax

And he only faced Gibson 108 times; he faced Drysdale 243 times.

Real trivia: he faced Rich Nye 10 times in his career and struck out 5 times. And Nye was a lefty. And I bet Nye knows this and talks about it to anyone who will listen.

This is for you @thisistheshow - Jim Rice was actually a pretty good player.

Were Nolan Ryan and Rickey Henderson baseball players?

For Aaron it was Drysdale, and by a big margin over Gibson (47 to 32), although when he wasn't striking out he hit Drysdale pretty hard (17 HR vs. 8 off Gibson).

I watched most of Koufax and Drysdale's games, living in LA.

Drysdale threw "way inside" many times, hit a fair share of batters.

I don't recall a batter ever charging the mound to get to Big Don.
