1773 2 real doubling question

While cataloguing a bunch of detecting finds from the past, I noticed what appears to be doubling of the (dot 2 R) on the rev of a worn 1773 Carolus III real. Given the mint method in Mexico City at that time, is this die doubling? Your knowledge is appreciated. Peace Roy

    Above top of the dot is a secondary image, above top of the 2 is a secondary image from like 10 to 12 and similar above the R.

    Hard to tell due to how worn the coin is, but most likely a.repunched letter / digit. The legend was punched into the die one character at a time and sometimes the die sinker would not like the placement, fill the die and repunch the character over it.
