Sales tax general comments and Maryland specific question

Well, I just paid my first sales tax on an eBay purchase (from Ohio) and I see I now need to pay sales tax on purchases from my favorite seller for my set builds - greg morris.........noooooo! :-)

My question is - as a minor seller (less than a few thousand $ annually and less than 50 cards or so), will I need to collect and remit sales tax? I live in Maryland.

No, EBay does it for you

You will be paying Maryland sales tax on all your taxable eBay purchases from all sellers. Buyers of your items will pay sales tax based on the state they live In. Ebay handles the collection of sales tax when items sell.

Thanks, guys, for the replies. I found this on eBay:
"As of October 1, 2019, a total of 34 states now require the collection of sales tax."

I wonder what the other states are that do not require the collection/remittance of sales tax.

Ebay taxes are like the Blob, the remaining states can run, but the Blob will eventually get them.
