Question for CWT experts

I'm cataloging an old collection of CWTs, and one group of them is labeled 109/442. I noticed the books I have show Patriotic Dies 108 and 110, but no 109. Did the Fulds eliminate it when they redid the work of Hetrich and Guttag? Here's an image of one of them:

I just checked the most recent 6th edition of the Patriotic book and you are correct there is no 109 listed. I did a bit of research and found that the Spring 1976 issue of the Civil War Token Journal contained an update on the edition of the Patriotic Catalog that was being worked on at the time. The article mentioned that die 109 was being deleted because it "is the same as Fuld 110 except the latter has a thin, high spot between the top of the 3 (1863) and the base of the bust." So die 109 and 110 are the same. The token shown is Fuld 110/442. I hope this helps!

Not a CWT expert by any stretch, but the "thin high spot" above the 3 looks like an internal die break, meaning 110 was probably just a later die state of 109.

Thanks for the info, I was able to download a copy of the referenced CWT Journal. Too bad they don't have side-by-side pictures of the two dies.
