Hello all- can someone direct me to the right place- forum, thread, etc. to ask for thoughts of authenticity of a card using photos. Thanks in advance for any info.

You can post it right here. Someone will eventually weigh in on it.
Run, Forrest, run!
It is a fake. Very dark counterfeit. Sorry man. Hopefully you didn't buy it.
No, I did not- thank you all for the advice. I knew posting it on here would be the best idea. Thanks again for saving me!
I would recommend to buy a common 1952 topps card in poor grade to get the feel of them and see how the printing is much different. Was this on craigslist, ebay, or offer up? Probably an attic story or grandpas lost ball cards bs story came along with it..
I totally agree with that advice. Read about that, but felt like I needed to move quick if it was real. It is actually a local guy to me (said he bought an entire shops inventory was the story). I use FB marketplace actually for sports cards sometimes. I feel like I usually can find some deals and its local, so I can see the stuff before I buy. He actually has some other stuff and I am interested to see if the rest of his stuff is fake and he's running a scam market....I will post some more cards he has. Thanks again for the info!
Honestly, there are so many things wrong with the 52T example if you couldn't tell it was a fake, you probably shouldn't be looking at raw 52T Mantles. 99.999% of the raw ones out there today are counterfeits and I might be leaving off a couple 9s. I'm so far from an expert on this card, but am quite familiar with other forgeries. As I was scrolling down, top two corners perfectly evenly worn (highly suspicious), blue background completely the wrong shade (obviously fake), bright white in the creases (obviously fake), no need to go any further, but I'm sure there are other telltale signs on top of that. There are much better fakes out there, so if this didn't scream out to you at first glance you're begging for trouble.
Second one is sanded, soaked, and baked also. At least he remembered to crease it before putting it through that process on this one.
Thank you for the info- all great information for next time, if I even dare! Haha

Good for you for coming on this site to get expert opinions before making a big mistake. So many people get taken by fakes these days it's really sad.
I almost spat out my coke when I scrolled down.
If he hadn't done the exact same thing 9+ years ago when he last logged in, I might take even take him seriously. Sadly, it seems he's still trying to peddle the same fakes he did then.
Run, Acuna, Run!
Mickey Mantle...aged nearly 70 years in just minutes lol
Unfortunately I get in and out of the hobby more than I would like to. Raising a family, 2 jobs, etc. has limited my time to be on the hunt for cards that I have always wanted and to not be active in the forum community. I have now gotten to the point where I can afford the cards I want again (with the blessings of my better half :-) ). At one point, I had to sell basically my whole collection off just to make ends meet. I remember this forum being a good resource for information, so I came back. I have begun to start looking for cards that I have always had an interest in- not necessarily the best grade or condition, but just to have a piece of history like this example. I afford what I can and like anyone else I love to find a deal! That's why I figured I would come back and ask this great resource and community. I have not been buying any cards like this for years and obviously need to brush up on my spotting fakes. Good to know I at least have a resource in this community. Thanks again!
