Seated Quarter specialists will probably easily catch the variety. Bought from another amazing board member. It’ll be going in for grading soon.

Large O. "To date this is the rarest collectible Seated Liberty Quarter." - Briggs
Great knowledge @CircCam and @yosclimber. I’ve been searching for a nice example for a while and I’m happy I was offered a nicely circ example.

Perhaps similar in rarity to:

Nicely done & absolutely no doubt about the attribution.
@yosclimber I’m not sure about the half dime, but the 39-O large O dime is more common than the 40-O by a decent margin and it brings way less than the quarter.

There is a nice article by Greg Johnson on the 1840-O Large O quarter in the latest E-Gobrecht Journal.
He estimates that less than 50 are known at present.

I wonder how it compares to the 1844-O large O reverse in terms of rarity, now that it has become more known?
