Read and search FOR A WEEK TRY to FIND OUT what went wrong with this penny. Nothing came out. Did anyone ever seen one of these. Regard

Looks normal (more or less) to me
An unplated planchet will be silver colored.
It looks like it's been plated after it left the mint. There is a common science experiment done in chemistry classes that plate cents.

I guest there must be quite a in circulation. That also explain the gold plated coins that you received when you purchase a lot of coins. There was a couples of apparently gold plated penny and quarters. Useful link, thanks.
