Reposting :1986D penny

The reverse on this '86 example looks odd as a whole. The bottom of "E" and majority of "S" in States, and the "O" in "OF" look like they were not struck and at an angle they are visible I cant find anything on PCGS . Any info would be appreciated .

Could be a filled die, but as you look through a lot of cents, you'll notice that it's not unusual to find weakness in this area. If you look at the obverse, you'll notice that the weak area is opposite Lincoln's lower shoulder. This is an area that requires a lot of metal to fill the relief. If the strike is a little weak, some of the design may not full completely and that why the letters aren't fully struck.

And use more than one resource to research coins, this thread has many links to a lot of resources:

Also, it is best to not hold/touch your coins like that. Oils in your skin will tarnish or corrode the coin.
