Best publication for Postal cards

Hello, Meow is interested in knowing in depth about early US Postal cards. Does anyone know of a publication that specialized in that subject?
Many early Postal cards have a fairly simple designs. Have there been instances of people counterfeiting early postal cards? Or would that be uncommon? How would one identity a fake if there was one?

Hello. Try your local library. The reference section may have a copy of Scott's Specialized US Stamp Catalog. Postcards will be listed in it.
