How Will This eBay Purchase With Poor Photos Turn Out?

Coin is currently out for delivery so will have my answer shortly.
Here are the exact photos I pulled from the auction. My eyes want to see some potential through these fuzzy photos but trying to keep my expectations down. So will it be a score or will it be a dog?

It's an NGC 67. Unless you paid a huge color premium, you can buy these without any photo.. and if you paid a huge color premium, it is anybody's guess.
I hope it's great....but have doubts, too.

I think it will be great as long as there's no fingerprint pattern on it.
Can't wait to see better pics! Good luck!

Well I didn’t have to wait long as it was just delivered! Upon opening it I now have more questions than I did before as this coin looks to be either a mislabeled proof or the most proof like MS quarter I’ve seen. I will need to get some better pics later to see if anybody here can help identify it as either proof or ms.

My knee-jerk reaction to the images is that it is a proof. Oddly enough, I see that you also just posted the same thing.

Did they provide the cert number in the listing? (I'm guessing not.)
Certainly more valuable as MS than PR. If it's mislabeled then the seller took advantage with those poor pics.

They did provide the cert number in the listing which I used to lookup and see it is in the NGC database as MS.

How clear (or not) are the seller's other images?

Here’s some poor pics taken with my phone. Looks proof to my eyes but it doesn’t seem to be as reflective as other proof Washington’s I have.

Those are the only 2 pictures the were available. Here is a link to the original listing.

Those Obv. rims sure look squared up like a proof. I once had an MS66 or 67 NGC 42-P war nickel that was holder as MS but was a proof. I had a guy on ebay saying how much more it would be worth if I had it reholdered to designate the 6 Bold steps. He wouldn't believe me and bought it anyway! I guess he thought it was worth the risk since it was worth 5-10 times more as an MS FS!
Definitely a proof. It has the wider gap between the E and S of STATES that you would find on a proof vs. a business strike.

I'm calling it a proof.
definitely a proof. surprised the seller never got the label corrected
ill pass on that one. it looks more like a problem then anything. jmo
Thanks for all the info and opinions, decided my best option is to send it back.

That is a type B reverse which would be a proof.
I’d say you paid too much if it’s a proof. Does look like one....
Coin is not doubt a proof
