AB might possibly be illiterate outside of Football. The texts were really unreadable and impossible to truly understand, it’s remarkable to me that he can figure out offensive playbooks really.

I’m sure it’s a great school, I’m also pretty sure he didn’t even have to go to class to get his diploma 🤷‍♂️

judging from his texts I doubt he could spell class let alone go to one.

At college maybe his course of study was the written version of Ebonics.

Michael Vick was the epitome of how the "hell can you root for the guy." Yeah he spent time in the slammer, but he was sinister as he killed a number of dogs. Adrian Peterson became 1A.

Brown is a notch lower if he is cleared in this case. Should never play another down if he is not.

I traded pro sports for old rock concerts a dozen years ago.

Give me Alice Cooper over any NFL team any day of the week.

you do get a little carried away glick. :D Brown hasn't been charged with a crime and won't be.

Hes just a garden variety idiot who normally would get paid top dollar but because he has piss poor judgement is priced half off at dollar tree . But , if the Pats let him go the chiefs will hire him :o

If the chiefs let him go he has a spot in Dallas. Or Minnesota , or washington , or denver etc.

sports seems like it is kinda seedy these days but only because we hear details , it was never any better than it is now. If you think it was somehow a noble profession at any point you are dreaming.

And OJ was never convicted of murder. He was found responsible in the Goldman civil case.

If AB settles or loses the civil case he is toast to the NFL.

If I ever run into Bill Laimbeer again at a strip club, I will ask for an autograph. The guy was a saint compared to the NFL thugs.

talk radio has been a nightmare this week

suddenly all these formerly reliable meatheads have become SJW's and its one lecture after another about the optics of AB , how he is a bad guy yada yada yada . If any good could come of this it might be deleting sports blather from my life going forward .

  • perkdogperkdog Posts: 30,649 ✭✭✭✭✭

I can’t listen to Sports Radio. I hate 99% of them, they are the most ridiculously opinionated trouble makers out there

Much of it is garbage or dull. Worst is two guys laughing at each other for an hour.

    Very good though are...

    Amy Lawrence.
    Arnie Spanier
    Scott Furrell
    Freddie Coleman

Jim Rome is a great interviewer, but the rest of his schtick is painful to listen to.

I actually love sports radio. I know a lot of it is not good. Here in Dallas/Fort Worth we have a lot of good options. I will listen when I am back home in Massachusetts, but I do not like it as much. Perhaps it is a familiarity thing and I need to find the right shows.

Looks like it's all hugs & kisses after Brown's first game as a Patriot. Rumor has it that Bob Kraft will celebrate NE's first shutout in Miami in team history by taking the team for happy endings over at the Jupiter ice cream shop.

From the video, look at the house that Brown lives in. It's a luxurious mansion by any reasonable definition.

I don't know any details about his situation with his former wife or former girlfriend's child that they created. I couldn't care less about any of it. But it seems that all the woman wanted to do was get her young child's clothes. And so this obnoxious punk starts berating the police over it.

The police shouldn't even have had to get involved in such a trivial matter in the first place if Brown would act like a normal human being and just let the woman stop by and pick-up the clothes which obviously she feared doing for her own safety.

Hey Antonio if you're reading this thread, it's not the police that are the problem, it's not the NFL that is the problem...THE PROBLEM IS YOU!

  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,022 ✭✭✭✭✭

I lean more towards Dimeman's comment.

I'm not saying that CTE isn't possible here, but it seems like this guy Brown has been a total a-hole for a long time from what I've read. Wouldn't surprise me if he acted like this to some degree in high school and college.

Talent is over rated. How many times did my buddy Randy Moss help his team win a championship?

If you are looking for some kind of perverted entertainment value (similar to watching a train wreck) I guess he was ok.

We have gone through this before. Moss was a very talented athlete and a GUTLESS football player. The Vikings had two or three different HC's during his time here, they were not the reason he had no guts. If he was great then Romo was the GOAT, he had great stats, didn't he?

Really? How about the time Randy walked off the field before the end of a game while the Vikes had the ball, because he was "tired"?

It was pretty obvious several of the players got fed up with his lack of effort on the field. He basically refused to go across the middle. If that's not hurting your team what is?

Look at his performances in meaningful games and then look at TRUE superstar players.

Moss was great at running down the sideline and catching the ball when single covered by a cornerback who was 6 inches shorter. Hit him a couple of times hard and he disappeared. I saw it TIME and TIME AGAIN!

I would rather have a solid guy who gives 100% than a superior talented athlete who said, and I quote "I play when I want to play".

He had a LOT of highlights. How did he do in the SB? He didn't do much in the NFC championship game with the Vikings.

I was really impressed with him for a few years, but when he became RANDY MOSS, he changed.

I'll bet Joe's head was about to explode in the MNF pre game talked about how great Moss was and how he made the All team 100 year NFL. Plus the glowing praise from Bill Bilicheck. Maybe he was only an arse in Minn..

He was a straight up jerk in Oakland, I’m not sure I ever saw a guy just quit on pass plays like he did. Granted the QB was Horrendous but still

Yes, that's all you saw was when he did something impressive, and he DID do a lot of impressive things. He had the greatest tools of any wide receiver ever (until Calvin Johnson) and he played on some great teams with some great offenses.

I'll also admit he was an unbelievably player for his first several years, but as time went on he became a guy who got lazy. He basically refused to go across the middle and if he got hit hard, he disappeared for the rest of the game.

For a guy who was/is heralded as being an all time great he NEVER was a difference maker in a big game.
