My recollection.
B&J is a good dealer and has done business with many athletes to include Mickey Mantle before he died and prices exploded.
He had - back around 1994 or so - a hoard of Ruth cancelled checks that I wish I had taken advantage of back then.
Their name seems to be tied to "Operation Bullpen". FBI bust of the large forgery ring in the late 1990's.

They are not mentioned by name in this link, but other websites drew lines to them. I am very skeptical of a lot of autographs during this era.

If you want to take a chance, I would just get a PSA QuickOpinion on the items.
My bat passed the Quick Opinion, here is the sample of a late 1990's autograph.

Hiya Nic
I could see where they went to the dark side for sure.
Back in the early 90s, these sigs were inexpensive - I paid less than 30 bucks to get a Mantle sig around 1990 or so.
When this stuff exploded? Anything's possible.
And last, I could be totally wrong about my impression of B&J - and was always a crook - but I will say - back around 1992 or so - B&J did a signing with Mantle and it was photographed/documented. Now, could this have been a scam also?
Anything's possible.
Hi Mike!
In the late 1990’s I bought a number of Griffey autographed items from Stan’s Sports Memorabilia. In their ads they showed images of the athletes with their employees at supposed signings. Seemed legit. All the autos were fake. They were a player in Operation Bullpen.
The COA’s presented have little merit in my opinion. If it is not authenticated by the reputable firms like PSA/DNA there are too many unknowns. It can’t even be sold on eBay with that COA.

Thanx Nic.
The Rookie auto cards, were sold via QVC as far as I know
there is/was another sheet that came with the set
Quick opinion on 1 or 2 cards will give you the answer you seek
Okay thanks guys. Now I’m confused. Are we thinking cards are good and bat is not?
the cards are good.....

I'm guessing we have a cutoff date where this stuff was just too cheap to bother forging for different players?
Noticed that the sheet he signed has quantity of 200 of each card. Yet all the cards are numbered to 500.
I saw that too
Also, from the text it looks like you should have the sheet that MagicPapa provided.
Again, I would use PSA QuickOpinion, because their opinion is really all that matters if you want a final decision on this. My 2 cents.

I saw/have that 200 signed sheet too, not sure if that was a typo when printed maybe? or if only 200 sets were signed skip numbered
