These coins were in the news recently without an image. Can you tell why? Can you identify something very similar on any other coins?

I'll pick the easy one:

1.) 1937-D 5c.

Is it the floating head?

Yes, 2019 "Floating Head" cent. What caused this? Any evidence left on the coin? Other coins like it?

Hemispherical

A bit more than “a bit” of polishing of the die.

Evidence is the polishing lines which can be seen with some zooming.

A similar effect is the Monticello’s floating top on the reverse of the nickel.
