When logged into ebay, this page will allow you to send a lower offer to those watching all of your items.

Under the "actions" column for each item select "send offer." Might only be available to those with an ebay store.

I do...and eBay gives me tools to help! :)

Watchers aren't buyers. They are sellers with a similar item to sell.

I like the option of being able to reach out to watchers. Being able to tempt them a bit more is a nice feature.

I've priced many things at the point where enough meat is in the bone to make it worth it ( at current price or BINs.). I can wait. I don't need to jack it up high retail end, get watchers, then whittle it down. If one finds this feature useful, so be it.
If watchers enjoy receiving unsolicited offers , far be it from me to fret. I think it's creepy.

Then why do they buy stuff when poked with a better price?

I see it as being no different than looking at a priced coin at a show and a dealer saying "I can do $20 better than that" or something similar. The coin gets you to look, the "discount" gets you to buy.

I've tried it. Low success rate, but it's another tool.

I very seldom sell anything with no watchers, when you have no watchers after the listing is over 30 days old, the price is too high

I don’t mind it. I hadn’t seen any success using it until recently when two of them worked out in a purchase.

The ones that I have received from others have not been too tempting yet.

I'm mostly an eBay buyer, not a seller. When I watch a (non-auction) item, it is usually because I am interested in it, but the price is higher than I'm willing to pay. I enjoy receiving offers from sellers, and have pulled the trigger on a few of them that brought the price into my "buy zone."

    So, sellers, take that fwiw.

I have items in my watch list I would like to buy. And if they would lower their price a little bit, like 50%, I would be a buyer. :#

Not always. I've converted lots of watchers to buyers.

I actually add more stuff to my watch list just because of this, and I have accepted the special offer on more than a few occasions, especially if ebay bucks are part of the deal.

There’s lots to like, just not at certain numbers.
I watch items that are within 25% of what my comfort level price is, just in case I feel cashy enough to make a solid offer at some point in the future. Someone could nudge me into buying I suppose.

Sometimes I do watch items just for research or note how fast they sell for instance.

Ebay always tells me that I'll have a better chance at selling, if only I would lower my price by 25% or 30%. Funny thing...……..I don't see Ebay dropping their fees by 25% or 30% in order to get more of my listings.

Actually, they sometimes drop them 100% in special targeted offers to encourage listing....

It can't hurt. I sent out about 40 or 50 on a dozen different items. So far, only one sale resulted. But, ONE SALE RESULTED!!! Woot! Woot! ;)

I had 3 of the same coin on my watchlist waiting for ebay bucks to pull the trigger on one of them, I received an offer from one of the sellers with a 15% discount and I pulled the trigger. They made a sale and I bought a coin I needed. Although it may be very "big brother" is watching it worked to my benefit and I assume the seller as well.

I get the "send offer" option and do not have an eBay Store. I price my BIN items to sell, and have not used the option.

There are watchers because my prices are tempting. That's close enough. Watchers need to make offers. Sellers shouldn't ... and eBay shouldn't be interfering with my products or pricing structures. Or, for that matter: be spying via algorithms on my potential customers.

Most times there is no make offer available.

No, sellers can make offers also. Sellers offer much bigger discounts than a potential buyer does. I have received offers of 20% off. That is not an amount I would normally request from a seller lest I offend them. When a seller offers the discount, you know what the seller's best price is. What is better than that?

Excellent move, eBay. No down side that I can see.

    I got a offer I could not refuse. ;)

Just put the item on your watch list and see what happens.

Today, I've actually received as many unsolicited offers from would-be buyers as I sent to watchers. LOL. With the eBay bucks offer out there, people are trying to spend money. Anything that moves old inventory is fine with me.
