Nickle is missing most of the reverse its smaller and uneven.

First impression is someone pounded on the coin post minting.

Looks like someone ground it down removing much of the metal.
Post mint damage (destruction).
Add a fourth for PMD. It looks like it was on the losing end of an encounter with a grinder
Weight is 4.6
The nickle in first picture is a normal 2016 nickle compared to damaged or error nickle.
It should weigh 5 grams.

Reverse was held up to a sanding/grinding tool, Dremel or similar with sanding/grinding attachment. The pics of the reverse appear to have parallel grinding lines or from the center to the rim.
The “notch” to the right of the Monticello was caused by an over eager person with the damage making tools.
Damage was after the Mint process. The Mint does not “grind” coins.
Not worth keeping and it’s sad that there are people out there who would damage coins.
