For sale are two rare Hudson’s Bay Company Eastern Arctic tokens in denominations of 5 and 25. These Canadian tokens are made of aluminum and are uniface. These tokens were used for trade with the lnuit people living on the east side of Hudson’s Bay from the middle 1940s to the early 1960s.
The obverse shows incuse letters HBC (Hudson’s Bay Company) and the denomination. The tokens are listed in the standard reference catalog, “Medals, Tokens, and Paper Money of the Hudson's Bay Company” by Larry Gingras. The "HBC 5" token is 19 mm in diameter, and the "HBC 25" is 32 mm. I will ship to US and Canada.
