ANA NEWP (Stack's Sale): 1628 Salzburg Cathedral 1/2 Taler
I am actually in Munich after visiting Salzburg and the Tyrol region (will do a separate write up). This is the old write up which Photobucket messed up but will give you an idea as to the cathedral motif - https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/830776/a-day-in-salzburg-austria
I like the look of the coin and the pedigree - I bid this from my cell sitting in a local coffee shop and was ready to bid it up.
AUSTRIA. Salzburg. 1/2 Taler, 1628. Paris von Lodron. PCGS MS-65 Gold Shield. KM-141. Struck to commemorate the consecration of the Salzburg Cathedral. Needle sharp strike showing all of the fine detail. A great piece with an even dark tone and a strong underlying luster.
Provenance: Ex: V. Brand Collection.
Here is the full cathedral Taler I own.

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
An outstanding companion piece for your fantastic looking Taler.
Chilling out in Munich, sipping latte's and buying Cathedral Talers over the Internet with a cell phone. That's cool.
A worthy addition!
8 Reales Madness Collection
How did a large coin that is almost 400 years old manage to stay in that nice a condition for all that time? I wonder how many collections it has passed through?
Terrific coin .
Seems you also are adept at buying coins on the fly!
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.
Loves the coins, and am jealous of those. But MORE jealous that you are in Munich! My wife went to school there and so have spent some time there - BEAUTIFUL!
My current "Box of 20"
I think that one is a keeper! Very sharp. Provenance is icing on the cake.
@Zohar,
I am so happy that you got that coin. Big time congrats!

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
