Awesome card Monte. I was lucky to see it in person a few weeks ago, and there are only about 7 or 57 Mantles in a PSA 8.5 grade - compare that to 56 which has 38 I believe. This one is a blazer with unreal focus, color, corners, and no orange print marks that typically plague this issue. This one is a unicorn without a doubt. Good luck with the sale - whoever gets it will have one of the finest examples in the hobby.

Thx Paul! I have had very mixed emotions about selling it...but it was the most expensive card in my collection and; therefore, it was the quickest way to help fund a new kitchen. Someday down the road....I will replace with a nice psa-8.
Congrats on the sale Monte and can’t wait to see the kitchen! Whoever got that card has a rare Mantle in high grade. Ask your wife if you can take the $$ and get a sports car with the money, and use the rest for a microwave for the kitchen upgrade. 😉
