Is it just me or does it really seem like panini baseball card designs are god awful? I recently started a Ronald Acuna Jr rookie set and looking at all the Panini cards in his rookie set, they are hideous looking cards. I don’t even want to buy them even though he is a stud already and on his way to being the next big star in the league. I got most of Cody Bellinger’s Panini cards from the year before and they weren’t that bad. So, was it just a bad year and bad designs or a sign of a bigger issue with Panini?

I haven't seen their recent products, but in the past they have had complaints about not having team logos on players jerseys and helmets, which is pretty tacky.
Good to know. Acuna’s rookies are beyond tacky
Just collect the designs you like. They make so many different products that nobody is going to
like all of them. As far as football, I think prizm is the best.
I don't collect Panini but there sure we're a lot of folks lined up at their National booths to get some of that tacky stuff

Panini shows the team logos on their basketball and football products. They don't show the team logos on their baseball product, and yes that is tacky looking IMO.
Let them collect that tacky stuff. Looks dated and terrible... might as well be 88 topps cards. Just my opinion that their baseball product needs a lot of work.
I think Panini is King when it comes to Basketball and Football but they’re the Jester’s Janitor when it comes to Baseball. Licensing is everything.
As far as baseball, panini has no logos, that means to me they are just fancy broder cards.
Just expensive, fancy broders.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Darin - I hope you bought those Mahomes before last season, that is some serious coin.
On the modern football side, Panini has been a B+ manager of the sole license. The product has been generally good, but I think they need to trim at least 5 names no one cares about.. The new ideas like FOTL and special packs have been very collector friendly. The higher cost and distribution shut collectors out of some popular products.
I see Panini BB Mega boxes all the time. I guess they aren't that popular.
When I first got back into collecting I disliked all the modern cards. I have since pulled a 180 and grew to appreciated companies like Panini. There design is not always perfect but I primarily stick with Panini in the modern post 1990 cards.
I liked their 2013/14 hockey because their patches were larger than anything UD put out and that year’s design was cool. I was sorry to hear they stopped Hockey after that year.
Darin, great Mahomes collection!

The only Panini card in the universe that I care about is this one, and @LarkinCollector knows my feelings about it.
(I shall own thee someday!)

No logo issues are 100% frauds to me.

I think the exclusivity has probably hurt Panini's motivation to produce the best product possible. I say that because I think a lot of their products could be great with just a little more artistic thought. I do like Prizm and Flawless for the most part. I also appreciated when they were an alternative to Upper Deck in hockey. Would never touch their baseball stuff.
