Why did Larry Shepherd shut his website?
He seems to be pretty active by posting articles on Facebook.

It took like15+ years for Larry to get a website...
Not having one is no big deal as he's more of a phone guy.
The coin photos don't look very good on my wired telephone....
Zombie websites can be frustrating. I still stubbornly check on one in England.
It looks like his hosting package expired (wasn't renewed), but the domain has a few months left before it's also gone.

I found about 2 phone numbers on SIMCO Numismatics listed not sure if they are good numbers but was easy to find on one yahoo search. Maybe as easy as calling him on a Sunday.

I like seeing photos though.
Well these days one can take and send pictures with one's phone.
Checked today, and the website is up, although it looks like the last coins were added in May. Google reports his brick and mortar location as permanently closed.
Larry has been known to take long summer vacations in the past. Here's hoping he is doing well.

I talked to Larry at length at ANA. He’s fine. As mentioned he traveled to Europe this summer. He basically shut the site down while he was gone.
