Listed in Dunnigan and Parker as very scarce.

    I haven't looked at all your 8R posts but this coin is quite nice for an XF-40. Most looked "washed out" and I get the impression that the design doesn't wear well either. It's something I have noticed with South African Union coinage though those are 80% and 50% silver which might have something to do with it.

    Are you making an attempt to complete the entire DAM series? You have bought a lot of these recently.
