Very nice! I like the coin and the date! I'm holding out for a nice 1815. That date isn't as common as the 1818, 19 and 21 and one of the only relatively inexpensive ways to get that particular date. I've learned that they are hard to find.
Nice one.....and I believe that they are a LOT tougher than bust halves. Dimes too. Halves and half dimes are relatively plentiful in vf- AU. The dimes and quarters must have been the real work horses in their time.
You ain't kidding they're tough to find like that!
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
I love that look also.....very nice and original!

Managed to get this one quite some time ago, always liked the first year of this series too, since 1815 is not a year with too many coins!
This one grades VF-20.

I used to own this 1815, F-15. Close to a 20. Sold it to another forum member here several years ago. Probably should have hung on to it, in retrospect. They are tough.

Placed these a while ago.

Had I have seen the 1821 above I probably would have hit it. I do check your site regularly these days.
My humble, but nice, crusty and original example: NGC VG8
Crust.......
Very nice coins!

My favorite series! I’ll have to post all of mine when I get a chance.
Almost any coin book will explain why the halves are easier to find.
They were STORED AS RESERVES
Just like the trillions of Morgans.
So 1807 and 1808 1815 just to name a few were stored as reserves? I do know what you are talking about though.
@stman These quarters are so hard to find looking that nice! There are just not a lot of really nice mid-grade bust quarters out there.
Lots of nice qtrs posted. Here are my two:

It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.
Crust?

Nice coins above. I agree that some dates are very hard to find with a nice look.

Wow, really nice quarters, everyone!

No wonder they’re so hard to find. They’re all owned by the people in this thread! Some great coins here.
Some really great coins posted. I was just going to say this is where the nice ones are.
More colorful crust.....
Okay, here are mine. I only have 13 of them, and for the most part they have a nice original worn appearance. I love all of the coins posted so far!
This type is notoriously found cleaned, damaged, or with other problems. Solid examples are definitely a find!
While I personally do not have one of this type in my collection, I have always liked them.
Great thread. Love them all!!!
My only one. Ex TomB, and image by him as well.
Not all qualify, but an old thread about this, one of my favorite series

Here's a new purchase for those who like colorful Capped Bust Quarters. This quarter hopes to make it to the ANA at Table 1533!

Here's one in a lower grade but still pretty neat.
This is the only one I own.
