    The “dimples” looks like a contact mark by the reeded edge of another coin.

    Pmd is a common occurrence although it sometimes appears weird until you know what you're seeing. The hunt continues. Peace Roy

    Hemispherical got it - reeding from another Ike dollar,
    probably in the bag it was shipped out from the Mint in.

    Not an error, sorry.......
