He may have been ugly but he knew how to pitch!

Don Mossi recently passed away at the age of 90. He was a stellar pitcher for the Tigers when I was a kid. His career ended with a 101-80 W-L record with an ERA of 3.43. He averaged 7 SO / 9 innings as a crafty lefty. Mossi was also an All-Star. Much was made of his oversized nose and ears and several of his Topps cards have been panned as most ugly. Then again, how many ugly people do you know who had twenty-five great grandchildren?

Big hands, big feet, big ears, big nose, big...….. Sounds like he wasn't only crafty on the mound.
    RIP Mossi
