Good luck. You will need it. I have only seen one in 10 years!
Yeah I was out bid the other day on it.
How about a MS67 with AU58 rub on the slab?
Your best bet would be to make your own or try to cross one.
Tried to make one came back as MS64 and other was Code 97.
Huh, never seen one before. I have a feeling you'll be looking a lot longer.
Offering $100 if anybody can send on to me.
That hole is bugging me.
Still looking still have a C note.
Crazy, isn't it? The mint's made all those steel cents to circulate and all that happened was hoarding. They would've been better off the sitting out in 1943 and make bullet casings instead.

Why not simply just circulate one in your pocket with some silver and copper change?
Offering $150.00 now.
And yes I tried submitting my own no luck kept getting MS64's that are not worth the cost of submitting.
Just a question why a 58? You have 64s which are better.....

Hello. I believe I have what you're looking for but, my coins are not graded or certified by PCGS or NGC...
Several years ago I offered $140 and did not get a nibble.
Buy this...crack it, carry as pocket piece for couple months and submit it?

He needs one for his PCGS Everyman Registry Set. Nothing above a 58 or 58+ will work. There have only been 43 graded in 58 or 58+. Extremely tough to find.
Ohhh I get it now
I can help look out for one

Idk why I can't post the pic of my 43 .... ??
Hopefully this attached photo of a 1943 steel cent posted correctly this time around...
I remember paying $70 for mine... 1943 d in MS67 (PCGS).
I did come across one graded AU55 ANACS a few years ago on ebay but decided to pass.
To the top just to help you out.

There was a 58 on Teletrade years ago that brought $600. I dropped out at $250.
Just a thought and a input form eye candy inc. lol.
Still looking so to the top we go.

WOW @LindeDad this steel 58 is turning out to be your white whale. I'm gonna do a little hunting myself and see if I can't help one of my fellow stackers out. Good luck
COOKIES!
Have you tried to take your slightly rubbed 43 and send it over to "Insider" with his strict rub grading standards. Take that AU58 slab and send it in to the hosts for crossover with hopes the AU also crosses over?
