Notgeld Notes

There is one 20 heller and two 50 heller notes. All from Austria and dated 1920. I doing some online research, I learned that Notgeld was "emergency" money (akin to scrip) issued in central Europe during and just after WW2 when "real" money was scarce. Just sharing, but any comments, especially as to value, are welcome.

That would be WWI, not WWII...

They were also issued in some cases as collectables by towns. There are countless varieties and many exist in uncirculated condition.

Every currency collector should have at least some notgeld.
