What is the best way to sort out a collection for ebay selling?

I have a few collections from different people. Lot of mixed eras, some gems, some so-so, some junk.
Im not keeping these, strictly for reselling on eBay for now. Im still new at this.
I want to sift through them and put into groups. Any ideas?

I was thinking to separate into 3 groups
1- value group $5 or more per card
2 - Lot group - like 10 cards for $10 etc
3- giveaway group - stuff that worthless or near it.

I dont want to put the effort into listing something if I cant get at least $10 for the listing.
