Wax/Cello Collation

Does anyone out there have any information on pack (mainly cellos) from the 70's and 80's? Football and or baseball. As in, what card sheets (ABCDE, etc) should be on the top half of packs and which should be on back?

I know there are plenty of bad/homemade packs out there (mostly with stars showing on top). Is this something that is set in stone or are there instances where collation in this regard has proven false?

I think I have a good grasp on it but wanted some more experienced collectors info or opinions.

Thanks!
