Hey all. Name is Floyd. New here and recently got into collecting with my 4 year old. Started out with getting him a “pirate map” national parks map. He loves it when I come home with new quarters to put into it. Anyhow I just really roll hunt and whatever I get out of the vending machines at work for now. I do have one question. If anyone has a Sacagawea wounded eagle. Can you please post it because I would like to compare it to the ones I think I may have. I am including one picture of one I have. I got it out of the vending machine at work.

I looked at it through the magnifier on my phone.
I also have another one that appears to have had a flaw in the die. It has a pit between the tail feathers and the rim of the coin. I will add that one and the other possible wounded eagle to this thread when I wake up in the morning. I work nightshift. So I’m most active at night.
Post mint damage (PMD) The one you want has 2 raised lines, yours has one indented line.
That’s what I was thinking also. Pretty sure my other one is the same then. Also what do you think about the one I mentioned about that has the pit? It’s pretty circular and doesn’t look like post mint damage. However like I said I’m still new in this. Sorry I’m kinda rambling on. I also found a 2013 presidential coin out of a vending machine. Thought that was pretty cool.
Your pit sounds like PMD also. Keep looking you never know what you might find next.
I’ll have to get one of my buddies here at work to get on here and post some of his finds from rolls.
