I read the rules,
I did not see a limit to number of posts.
Please excuse them and remove the last two if you wish.

one thread on the 1st page per day.
you have 3.
and none of them are what you think they are.
.
These are the posted and I did not violate any of them!

Unfortunately, we cannot allow non-numismatic related fundraising, charitable or otherwise. All fundraising posts must be approved by a moderator.

Paging @HeatherBoyd
Looks like she has updated the rules recently.
I seem to recall the one thread one bump per day in the past,, however this is not in the current sticky.
@HeatherBoyd
Was this an oversight? Or can we have multiple threads with as many bumps as we want per day?
Thank you
It's all about what the people want...
The ongoing practice and unwritten rule is one thread of each per day (sell, buy, trade). This is a gesture of kindness and respect to others on the boards that also want to buy sell or trade stuff. You can bump each thread once per day.
Suggestions would be to sell your stuff in one thread so it does not clog the bst with all of "your" stuff and other peoples "stuff" can still be on the front page.
At one time I believe the old rules at the top of the BST indicated in part, one buy and one sell thread. And, one bump per day. Do not remember the exact wording.
As I recall, there was some kind of disagreement between parties where they tried to get PCGS involved. Shortly thereafter, the rules disappeared from the top of the BST Forum.
This was long before Heather Boyd was a presence here. Maybe this could be reviewed, and added to the BST rules, if PCGS sees fit?
I think all the pertinent rules can be found in this book;
I could have 5 WTB threads on page one without rules.
1. my ATB Puck one
2. my Large format printing combined into the ATB puck one. why not separate them if I can have more than one.
and 3 different WTB dcarr items (if not more. I decline to disclose the want list at this time)
and I could spend a good bit of the day bumping them to the top since I'm in front of the computer all day.
however all of this would get annoying, thus the rules.
Okay, I understand.
Now if those rules are not posted where newbies to the forum can read them, how should they know otherwise?
So instead of being informed, I'm made to feel like a fool and put on blast instead and now have to live with embarrassment for something as lame as only 3 posts.
Come on, edit the rules and post them properly .... It's rude to allow guests to the forum as well as customers feeling uneasy.

They used to be posted and should still be.
They are assumed to be common knowledge around here but it's been so long it's easy to see how disagreements happen.

In part from Sports Moderator dated 01/29/2007:
If I see multiple threads on the same page, or multiple threads TTT'd from the same author or friends continually bumping, I'll delete them all with no warning.
I remember this was a big issue back then. Anytime somebody made a comment like "I like it", or something like that, it would bump the thread to the top. This was considered unfair to others who were selling on the BST.
Maybe if somebody likes a coin, instead of commenting "I like it", and bumping the thread to the top, they could just hit the Like button. This would eliminate the appearance of a "friend" bumping somebody thread to the top more than once a day.
You are new here so don't worry about it.
Most here will forget about it or not care in a very short while. The ones who don't may not be worth your time. If you post too much on the wrong board Heather will send you a nice message explaining how you will sell more if you don't upset your potential buyers. When you post on a forum you need to be prepared for any & all responses, good or bad. Best way to learn is jump right in. You could have been told about board etiquette in a different way but some may have seen 3 posts at the top of the page and was wondering if you were going to stop at 3 or fill the whole front page. It has happened that you get 10 posts from a member all on the front page. You can also combine your for sale items in one thread. The BST board can be kinda rough because money is involved, it might not be the best place to get your feet wet. The best place for kind constructive help might be the Q&A board. Several members watch the Q&A and are happy to take the time to help new members and new collectors. The main board might be somewhere between the two but you will get the most responses there. It might be a good idea to ask about your coins on the Q&A before you post them for sale on the BST board. When you post a mechanical doubling coin for a high dollar amount you are placing a huge target on your back. Don't get discouraged and let anyone chase you away from the forum, it is a great place to learn.
Oh, and welcome to the forum.
I'm still a rookie only 2 months in and fortunately I've been helped by some good kind collector's but one thing I do know is (this includes me also) numismatists are a very picky bunch but when it involves the kind of money alot of collector's invest and the time it takes you really can't blame them. You'll be alright though, like it was already posted most have already forgot and if they don't whatever. There's alot of good people on here and you'll find out soon enough. Welcome and happy collecting.
COOKIES!
lets be fair now you all. thanks
