It feels great...

When you make a fair offer on an auction with a best offer function on and the seller counters and is firm on price. Well, I set a snipe and win the card at 33% less than what i originally offered. Any similar stories?

Oh, absolutely! That is such a good feeling! I was asking about a price on a 1993 Topps Jumbo Box Series 1 with different colors on the packaging that is really rare. A seller wanted $300 for the box with 24 packs. Since I collect packs, I only needed 1 pack so I didn't want to spend that much money. A couple of week later a partial box of 21 packs was auctioned and I won for $42.

I almost sent a message to the seller and said "doesn't my price look good now"? but backed out. Thought it would be in poor taste and I'm sure he's ticked off.
It feels great. It feels great until..... I return from the mailbox and my wife is standing at the door holding a pair of pliers. Oh, the fear that I live in.
That is awesome. Congrats Bryan.
When you beat a ton of snipers to win a card
I had the same experience in the past 2-3 weeks. Offered over min bid, declined. Added $2, declines, so I won for the min bid.

That’s a fantastic feeling. Congrats Bryan.
Thanks guys. Package is in transit, so I'm glad he didn't cancel or anything.
Had a seller this week cancel my purchase and refund me for a 78 Topps set stating he couldnt find the Murray and Molitor RCs. There is no doubt in my mind he was lying and just wasnt happy with the ending price.
Ebay user name "amintcollector" and has great feedback. Didn't expect this from him. Needless to say I will make sure I never purchase anything from him ever again. I hope others will avoid him as well.
Earlier this year I made an offer on a listing with a BIN and Make Offer enabled. But seller rejected my offer, and then cancelled the listing and relisted it as an auction. I won the auction at $75 less than my original offer, and by luck eBay happened to have a 10% eBay Bucks promo on the day the auction ended.
