It looks like only 3 were given the DMPL designation, with all others getting only PL, at best. Apparently this is the first issue in this entire series where the manufacturing of these somehow caused there to be much less reflectivity than normal. I got lucky, and I now own one of the three. Still First Strike. My cert # is 37161129.

Although from what I understand, the mint process for American Memorial differed to cause virtually no DMPL's (only 3 have been given that suffix), with all the rest at PL. How much would it cost to get a full MB graded, even at bulk rates? Would it be worth it if only a couple succeeded? My understanding is that after the initial shock of the results, APMEX went through a ton of them by hand, selected the VERY VERY best ones, and sent only those in, resulting in just three successes. Paying for grading for a full MB may not be cost effective. Additionally, if they do succeed, with a higher new pop, the "value" of each one would then be expected to be lower with that higher pop!

Having a pl makes me miss the dmpls. And NGC dpl are dmpl on one side... At least that's my experience

I see this is back on eBay, with a lower price than before, and still a "Make Offer" option. Apparently, the prior sale fell through. While I am fortunate to have one of the three that exist, the one on eBay is not mine.
