Looks like a large date. Keep looking and good luck!
Agree, large date, although that 2 looks a little odd to my eye. 1982-D small date coppers aren't supposed to exist of course...as I recall.

There has been 1 reported a couple of years back. It was graded by NGC, if I recall.
Here is where it sold: https://auctions.stacksbowers.com/lots/view/3-7WIR5/1982-d-lincoln-cent-small-date-struck-on-a-bronze-planchet-au-58-bn-ngc

Thanks, Matt.
That is a rare one indeed. I sorted through cents for quite a few years. I learned to never check my 82-D small dates as they were all supposed to be CU-plated zinc. The zincs are very easy to visually distinguish from the bronze cents as well. I doubt it ever passed through my hands, but then again Minnesota is our Wisconsin border neighbor!
Cheers/Jeff
Large Date in my view also. Go for the set of the 82's your at a great starting point.
Happy hunting.
If there is one, I'm sure there is another! Keep looking!
There are currently 2 authenticated 1982-D small date copper cents (out of over 6 Billion cents struck in Denver that year).
Isn't IT A large date?
I mean.......... ISN'T IT A LARGE DATE
It looks like a standard Lg date 2. Nothing odd about it
