Kennedy Half 1776-1976 D Bicentennial. Should these be graded?

These two coins may be worth grading. I'm not sure they would be worth the bother. So, what do you think? There is some light toning.

Coin 2

For it to be worth it they’d have to grade 66+/67 or higher.

    Don’t think they’ll make it. I’m thinking 63 or 64 tops.

    I love the Kennedy halves!!

I think your assessment is spot on.

They are good looking coins worth keeping, just not worth slabbing.

Love these Bicentennial coins....I have the complete 1976-S proof dcam set silver+clad graded by PCGS. Unfortunately most in the set are not worth more than 25-30 dollars but the proofs are beauties and a cool one year type set.

Hmmm... One could argue that they are a two year type set - 1975 and 1976.

Same dates on the coins, though. :D

Found another in my batch. Probably the same grade, 63 or 64. Lightly toned.

  • I think it likely will 63. Still a nice coin. Verrrrrrrrry underrated as is the entire series.

Thanks for the pic. Looks like the kind of shop where I could possibly find something I didn't know I needed.
