Forgot Hovland was in the field, kid won the USGA Amateur on the same course last year, though that was a match play event.

Thanks for posting this scene. Great movie and dialogue/script. One of my all time favorite movies. Cicero Grimes (Richard Boone,Paladin on TV. What a great name for a villain.
