eBay won’t allow me to print shipping label for $150 coin which sold - invalid address.

Never had this happen - smells funny

Notified buyer - if he does not fix this I intend cancel order and refund.

He has about 250 pos feedback

It could be the character count. Happens a lot on long addresses

the post office can confirm a valid address once you ship it

On-line labels are picky about address being exactly as it appears in their data base to proceed with purchasing postage even though both versions will get the package delivered. Purchase postage at the counter. Normally on-line attempt will show you USPS's version of the address. Forward that to the buyer so he can fix it once and for all.

You may not want to di it, but ebay lets you edit the address. If it is a character count problem (I think 40 is the max) sometimes just changing "Street" to "St" does the trick.

I've often wondered why they don't fix this little quirk. Happens a lot with Chinese addresses. They just need to match the character limits

my experience with the quirk is that the problem is something that needs to be spelled out or something that needs to be abbreviated in order to match USPS' "correct" address.
    i.e. North, Road, Expressway.

You need to edit the address in ebay

    I prefer paypal shipping labels.

When editing, do not change street, PO box numbers. . . you will void your seller protection that requires you to ship to the paypal address.

Try again later. I have had problems in the past going through PayPal (and I think it is the same underlying software eBay uses even if the graphical user interface is different) only to have the issue resolve itself in a few hours.
