Unless your really good (expert) in a certain type or group of coins that is a reasonable thing to do. IMO
Yes, I chalk it up to the price of learning this complex hobby 😁 unfortunately the learning process can really add up quickly....luckily the gold coins I've submitted to PCGS came back with an "expected" grade....
