ok I get that part about the counterfeiting but what makes them think the 50 or 100 will be any different of bogus bills coming out? I hope im not over thinking this
I am not 100% sure but I believe our currency (except the 1s and 2s) is periodically changed to keep ahead of counterfeiters. The next rotation for the 20 is apparently not until 2028.

I would love a design change on any of our denominations. These type of changes tend to spur new collector interest. Let’s get this hobby growing, full speed ahead!
I would like to see historic and non-political figures on our currency. About the only one on our money that sort of fits the bill is Franklin - and for many non-political reasons.
