Never taken one before. Does it normally take forever and a day to post to one's account?

A couple of days, wait to ship.
Also waiting on one to clear. PayPal said it should have cleared yesterday.
But everything still says pending and not to ship yet.

what do you mean "paypal-Echeck"?
do you pay Paypal or paypal pays you?
Or are you paying a buyer or seller?
A buyer made a PP payment by echeck last friday which is still pending.

looks like the banks are getting "free" money for a few days. Oh yes, it adds up...
Interesting, that seems to work different ways. When I pay my Cap1 CC account via bank, it takes 3-5 days. However, the AX account payment is often done in less than 1 day.
Whenever I pay a CC account from a bank account it's pretty much done and the money moved on the same or next day unless it's set for a Friday.
I suppose 'waiting to clear' is the best approach.
I have taken many of these, but finally had one 'bounce' a couple of months ago......
It certainly does. I am still amazed that no financial institution has come up with a secure payment vehicle for bullion.
The float would be enormous! Access to large accounts would be a cinch.

I haven't received a e check in years and sell quite a bit. i am just glad the days of waiting for a money order in the mail are over
He has more payments to go before it's "ready to ship".
Because he probably doesn't have a CC or a balance in his paypal account.
So if you pay from a linked checking account then it's always as an echeck?
I would think unless you transfer to your paypal account and then pay. I've never transferred money from my bank to paypal but I would suspect there would be a delay before it is credited to your paypal account(probably the same as an echeck).
Update: the one that was supposed to clear yesterday ended up clearing today.
Glad that’s cleared up...
It will take 4 days to clear pp. pp get the money next day but they wait four days to give it to you.
AS long as it's good that's all that matters.
