1898 50c Barber Half Dollar NGC MS-61 @ $OLD.

The words "Beautiful" and "Barber" usually do not mix at the grade point of MS61, MS62 or even M63. As usually to find an example with any sort of worthy eye appeal you'll have to venture to MS64 or above. Well this lowly 61 graded example has that kind of eye appeal in spades and no one would raise an eyebrow if it was graded MS62+. There's no downside on a coin like this as (although there's no rub) even if it downgrades on a PCGS cross at any grade to AU58 you've won the "Everyman Registry" lottery. This is the kind of coin that you purchase and it still tickles your fancy for years to come. As although it photographs lovely it's even more dazzling and really pops in hand under a light source.
