Can you help identify the small coin.

The coin looks Middle East has fur had too tell. Looks and sound like siver weight approx 1.7grams

    The 20th Century edition of the Standard Catalog of World Coins suggests the same thing that @tbishopric just said. Photo matches. I did not check the date on the coin too closely. The piece is copper-nickel.

    Ottoman coin dates involve some complex mathematics, and/or looking things up in conversion tables. The coin is actually dated "Regnal Year 28 of the sultan who came to power in AH 1293", so the actual issue date is AH 1293+28-1 = AH 1320, which correlates mostly to AD 1902 (actually 10th April 1902 to 29th March 1903).
