1889 Morgan VAM??

Hi, hoping someone more familiar with the 1889’s would be able to identity if this is a VAM. The upper lip looks a little odd to me.

Upper lip seems normal. Based on date position only I would guess Vam 23. Very common with no premium.
You would have to show the reverse as well.
Why two obverse photos? Is she smiling in one and not the other?
No I thought I included the reverse. I added the reverse photo but it has to go through the approval before it posts.
"but it has to go through the approval before it posts."
Post a smiley face before the photo, it should post then.
Or, edit your first post and insert the pic. Whichever.
Ok, I edited the original and added the photo of reverse. Thanks for the pointer

VAM 23 doesn't have a photo but you can look at 23A to see the date placement.
Thanks for the link. It appears this maybe a VAM 18A. The Die chip on the obverse.
You can see your coin better than I can from the photos. Look at the date placement again and use the denticles for a reference point. Check the height of the 1 from the rim then check the the height of the 9. The whole date looks like it is set higher on the 18A. Some other vamers will respond and set both of us straight.
Another link that might help.

Yea. I think I’m wrong with the VAM 18 A comment. I was looking at another photo in my library of my 1889 O. I will keep searching the link you provided. Thanks again.
Don't let 23A confuse you, yours doesn't have the die clash. Just use it as a reference for the date position.
If you submit a Morgan for grading and do not designate it for variety attribution will the grading folks still look for a VAM designation?
No
If you don't need it graded and just want a VAM or if a coin is already graded you can try Varslab. Great service & value for the money.
