With my wife's help I just got a 1994 Pinnacle MUSEUM COLLECTION set!! Maybe my biggest Score yet!

Wow, I can't believe my wife was able to help me make this happen and I really had to save up our nickels and dimes ($220 offer accepted) for it but I got a set I at least semi-dreamed about for many years but I never thought one would ever show up...much less one that was actually within financial reach. Wow, and I thought me getting that 1995 Score Platinum set several years ago was amazing...this Museum Collection might have been even harder in a way to acquire. And don't they look amazing with that Dufex technology? Only 6500 of each card were made and you have to pay $2 or so a pack and you only got one every four packs (so there's only one Museum Collection card for every 55 regulars...or about 1.8%). So who knows how very very very few sets are out there! Unfortunately it does NOT include the five promo/send-in Museum Collection cards...but they shouldn't be that hard to find...right?
I'm also hoping to complete a 1995 Ultra Gold Medallion master set too (a few years ago I managed to get about half the insert sets in GM in one purchase!)...to go with my 1996-2001 Ultra GM sets. 
My signature lists the GM insert sets I still have left to go.
Again I thank my wonderful wife (14 years together this June 17!) for helping me make this possible...this has to easily be among the most amazing additions to my collection ever! I guess now I got a perfect excuse to get the 1992 and 1993 Pinnacle sets too?
PS: Isn't it a bit odd that they did an even more limited edition parallel set (Artists Proof; 2000 of each) yet all they get is a tiny little gold stamp?

Not to mention the 25th anniversary of this set! 1994 was the first full year I did card collecting (but it wasn't until college in early 2000s I was able to start doing full sets) so at the time the set might as well had been a million dollars.

Great buy on the set . I've got about 3500 extras from when I was building three
sets back then. I've only got one complete set with the sendaways. Unless you are
SUPER lucky those 5 will cost $35+ each over the course of a few years. Are you putting
them into pages or leaving them in the box? My master set has the regular card, Dufex
and the Artist Proof side by side. Once again congrats on the set and especially your
patient blushing bride!!
Congrats! I'm in the middle of busting a box of 91 Ultra at the moment. I remember thinking these were so expensive back in 91 when I was 12 years old. I think I paid almost more in shipping when I bought this a while back. Can't hardly give them away now, but still fun to rip.

I know! Just like the Score Platinum set, pics don't do the Dufex tech justice. I hope someday a 1994 Finest refractor set someday shows up....whether I'd be able to afford it though is a whole 'nother matter. I do have for 1993 and 1994 the regular sets and jumbo All-Stars sets at least!

I bought my last Artist Proof card July of 2000. I would buy lots of
20-30 just to get 1 or 2 that I needed. At a flea market in Sevierville
Tn. and a shop in Raleigh, N.C. I bought 200+ at each place just
to try and finish the set. A bunch of E-bay purchases. Somewhere
I've got a 600 count box with extra A.P.

Congrats! That's an awesome pick up. I, too, have an affinity for all things Dufex culture. Those '94 Pinnacle sets burst onto the scene back then. I missed the baseball release but went bananas over the football release. I will pick one up one of these days. Be sure to post some sweet pics when you get it.

I remember back then there were warnings about the possibility of the 1st day issue stamp being removed from a common and being placed on a better player...how exactly is that even possible? So if you wanted to go for a set like that you not only have to deal with it being expensive and (like 1994 Pinnacle Artist Proofs) only having a cheap little stamp on it...but you also must risk getting a forgery.
