Unpaid eBay item question

Hello everyone; wondering if I can get some help with the dreaded non-payer. I’ve opened a case with eBay. Do I have to wait until that’s closed before I re-list the card? I sent two payment notifications to the buyer with no response, so I’m not expecting one to come, even after the case has been opened. Thanks in advance for the help.

no, you can relist the card whenever you want. you don’t have to wait for the case to be resolved.

Well, if the buyer pays you're going to be on the hook for delivering the item so I would think waiting would be the smart move.

The buyer should have responded to your notifications. You shouldn't have to chase a buyer around for answers. I would be upset also.

Thanks everyone. Seems like a crummy spot to be in. Have to wait for the person in the wrong to do something, but if I’m proactive and relist and the sell card, it’s my fault
    if he eventually pays.

You can cancel the sale right?
I have had non paying buyers before. Some never paid, some did, some I cancelled and sold to someone else.
Once I even cancelled after a week of no pay, resold for Less, then received original higher payment the next day. I just refunded their money and explained I had cancelled the sale, luckily it went ok. I left both buyers positive feedback and lost out on $10 for my impatience. It really is a lottery of buyers, unless you know the buyer already.
