Best basic modern rookie card brands?

I haven't really bought any modern cards outside of a pack or two here and there. Like many, my heyday was in the 80s, 90s, early 2000s. Currently I'm working on the 48 leaf boxing set and also grading and or upgrading my Cowboy rookies over the years. I just picked up a Zeke rated rookie PSA 10. My question is what are the best standard issue rookies to look for nowadays? Not really looking for the limited insert types. Just the basic card. Though? Opinions?

Cant usually beat a Topps or Bowman Chrome issued rookie for the basic rookies you're looking for.
Thanks! I'll check those out. Is the topps chrome as well Or just the standard topps? There are so many varieties now. I love the look of the Zeke donruss rated rookie I picked up.
Your question, is my problem also. Which issue(s) are the ones to have. Football - contenders, basketball - National Treasures, Baseball - Bowman Chrome, is this correct, from someone with more knowledge than myself?
If you are talking baseball i agree with the above, Bowman Chrome jumbo Hobby will be your best bet. Prizm for basketball from my understanding..

You nailed it. Prizm became the defacto Chrome as soon as Panini was awarded the exclusive. Could the cards look better, sure. Do I miss Topps in the basketball realm, absolutely--but they do a pretty solid job with Prizm every year. The nice thing is, even the non parallel rookie cards sell for a decent amount. There's value to be had in the 24 pack retail boxes vs. the $200 hobby boxes.
In my case it would solely be football.
I don’t know where to begin with football but National Treasures, Flawless, Contenders, prizm seem to be all popular for rookies.
