What's your take on this corner issue

I can't figure out how to clip a zoom and post it here, so you'll have to follow the link to the listing and zoom in.

The top left corner has a very slight "dog ear bend" or "crease", whatever you call it. I thought such a flaw would reduce a grade to lower than 8, though it is very slight. In your opinion, does this flaw bother you? The card is otherwise really nice, but I wonder how many people see that corner.

For some reason I am having a hard time getting the link to work. Try again below:

It does have a crease. Doesn't show on the back side though. I still wouldn't pay PSA 8 prices for this one.

    14 watching, 25 bids. I can tell you it ain't bothering them.😉

Personally though, I agree with steel75. I wouldn't pay that kind of price for it.

I am guessing that the watchers and bidders aren't seeing it. I had to take a second look to find it.

I would probably pay what it is at right now ($177). It's slightly above the PSA 7 price, and I would say this would be a "Superior Quality" PSA 7. Centering could be better Top/Bottom, but it's still a nice looking card (imho)

EDIT: (to remove the reference to that consignment company -- did not want to start another conversation with them...)

I try to stick to- Buy the card, not the grade.

Not sure it's a crease but rather some kind of discoloration?

    Discolor is my bet.

Or when you catch the corner on something and just the top layer bends and then you press it back down and hope nobody notices.

The weird thing is there is a very wide range of what this card has sold for in PSA 8 - you have $204 to $373.50 this year. That's a crazy spread. The bid is now at $260, well above most sales. I like the card overall, and I would have been interested at under $200.

I've seen several unusually high closed sales on Seaver lately, while other sales are still in-line with the past few years. Don't know if there is some manipulation going on with the word he was diagnosed with dementia(I don't see a jump due to his death, he's been in the HOF for 25 years and demand is pretty static), but its odd how there are a few alleged closed sales WAY higher than most everything else in the specific grade(usually just grades 7-9).

(Note: I know nothing about the seller and don't even recognize them as someone who's stuff I have looked at before. So if they are somebody who has a known reputation here, the intent of this thread wasn't to discuss the seller. I thought the card was a border line 7/8 and wondered how people would view that corner in relation to the current bid level.)

I've done some business in the past - good to deal with.

I'm with those who would pass on this one - for me centering alone unless I needed the card to trade for a brand new kidney.

This card is very difficult to find centered. Centered copies go for a premium. That is the reason for the large spread in PSA 8.

Is basically every ‘69 Seaver tilted?
