I was curious if it would he worth the effort to crossover some of my coins in there anacs to our hosts slabs. Has anyone here done that, just looking for opinions. As always your time is appreciated.

Depends on how much you have invested and the coins. Some have bigger spreads than others.

Fees can be a factor.
FEES
If the coin crosses, you will be charged the standard grading fees and you will also be charged a Guarantee Premium based on the value of the coin. If the coin does not cross, you will be charged the grading fees and the Guarantee Premium would not apply.

——-
service level fee + guarantee premium fee + handling fee + return shipping/insurance fee = total cost
Add GS and/or TV fees if you want this option.
And whatever it costs to ship to PCGS.

Edit to add example for one coin to crossover.
Made-up example slabbed coin: 1976-S $1 Ike MS69 (by another TPGS)
Estimated Fees: https://www.pcgs.com/servicesandfees
Service Level: Modern at $16
Handling: $10
Shipping/Insurance: $22
Let’s say our hosts crosses it to a MS68. Looking up the value in the price guide: $300. Therefore, the guarantee premium is $3.
Calculations:
service level fee for modern ($16) + guarantee premium fee ($3) + handling fee ($10) + return shipping/insurance ($22) = total cost ($51)
Add $5 for GS with TV or $10 if only TV.
What is the purpose of gold shield.?
In essence a tool to try and prevent counterfeiting. More info below:
With PCGS Gold Shield, each coin is imaged in high resolution, registered, and checked against PCGS’ vast proprietary imaging database. Our Gold Shield system benefits from artificial intelligence and machine learning, helping our graders quickly identify and remove counterfeits from the market. PCGS Gold Shield may then identify lost or stolen pieces resubmitted to us, ensuring your coin’s maximum value.
