Has anyone seen Collective Coin lately?

https://collectivecoin.com/

This very useful tool that allows record keeping of a collection with notes an pictures is being ruined by new posters posting pocket change for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It's a real shame as it's a site that you can post pix of ANY slab ...or raw... coin and all the data you might need. It also has its own "For sale" tab.

A couple examples of what I would consider an effort to ruin the site.

I'm ruining CollectiveCoin myself by filling it with Seated quarters (not for sale). It provides a nice display site without the restrictions placed on Registry sets. I'm thankful it exists and is free.

This was a duplicate post. It was in my drafts and I thought it was the other one. :s

I just revisited the site after being away for a long time and added some of my coin images. I intend on adding more. I also noticed those absurd prices for common stuff.

It's too bad it never really caught on. Would be an excellent alternative to eBay and all the auction houses combined if it had a following. I had hoped that Stacksbowers would be behind the following, but if you think about it that might be counterproductive to their own business.

Sale or "auction" style software is available in readily available boilerplate software.

Search engine does not seem to work.

I put in 'bust quarter', and it came up with a blank page. Seems to be no way to search in a particular coin category. When the search engine gets working, should be a good platform.

    It has no search feature.

As you can see, it has a search window at the top, just doesn't work, not very useful site without it.

I just logged into the site, typed Trade Dollar in the search window, and a bunch of them came up.

Maybe I need to capitalize the first letter of each? Nope, that did not work, Bust Quarter still gave an empty page. So did Trade Dollar. So for some reason it is not working for me. Any ideas?

I commented in a post here over a month ago about the proliferation of garbage being posted at collectivecoin. No one responded. Apparently the new owner of the site doesn’t care much about monitoring content either.

There's another guy attempting to sell a pair of counterfeit dollars: a 1799 Bust dollar and 1876 Trade dollar.
