How many 1989 Griffey Jr's...?

I am interested in buying a few low series 1989 Upper Deck foil boxes and am wondering, by the experience of the board members, how many Griffey Jr. rookies are usually found in a box. Anyone have any experience?

That's a tough one.
I had 4 and had zero from 2 boxes - I believe they were FASC also.
Centering was an issue along with damage to the hologram on the back and even a rough cut...
I have another box that I never opened. Maybe I'll get around to it some day?
I'm with Mike, it's a tough one.
I've opened 3 FASC boxes and gotten 0/1/1 Griffeys. The pair graded a 6 and 8.5. It seems like the price on the card has been rising steadily as of late, no idea why considering how many graded and ungraded copies there are, but opening boxes solely to get the Griffey is not an endeavor that I've enjoyed.
I have 11 wax boxes. Just ripped one. One OC Griffey and one nice Schilling. Other Schilling OC

Keep the boxes sealed and buy 2-3 graded Griffey's.
Also, IMO, be ready to pay a premium for a 50/50 Griff.
Thinking he was talking about Upper Deck but those 89 Donruss are really difficult. Busted a whole case recently and only got 15 Griffey's. All but one was drastically oc and the one that wasn't only had a shot at a 9, at best. I did get several nice Schillings that will be going to PSA in a bulk sub soon. Hoping to get about 5 of those back as 10's.
So there is a connection between the 89D Griffey and Schilling........

Collation was iffy at best with 89 upper deck. A friends dad I remember got 2 from 1 pack in 89.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
In a number of boxes I've opened the star rookies are sequenced in the box by number. For instance, you will get a run of #'s 4-20 in the box as you work through each pack. I've found that the same doesn't hold for the whole set. One box I got 14 Tom Glavine's but the sequencing for star rookies held.
So most likely you will get zero or 1 Griffey's in a box as per my experience.

Thanks for the info guys. Given the fact that I already have a prefect PSA 9 and the risk of maybe getting one that is poorly off-center, messed up hologram, and rough ruts, I don't think I'll take the risk. Thanks again.

Only if you include a John Kruk card with it
Opened one box of UD and got one Griffey, Jr. In the same box I got as many as 6 of another rookie.
There are 25 Felix Jose Star Rookies in each box of 1989 Upper Deck.
