Old casino Gambling card sets

A person I know of has a few hundred complete card sets which were used in casinos in the 1900'.
when the casinos changed cards, apparently they also changed the printing on them. So he purchased the left overs and they apparently were willingly selling these to him.
Question is this: is there any decent value to sets like this?
Sorry, Have NO images. the fellow lives 2000 miles away and at this point it is hearsay from his brother.
I am contemplating to travel there and meet him as he also has a huge coin collection he needs to sell.
The owner is close going to be 90 in a few days.

I guess you could check on Ebay and see if you spot anything to get an idea of value.
